Meryton is a large town in Hertfordshire County and the designated headquarters of the militia responsible for dealing with the local zombie activity. The town is also home to Mr. and Mrs. Philips, the Bennet sisters’ maternal aunt and uncle.
Besides Longbourn Village (which is located one mile away), Meryton is the closest community to the Bingley estate, Netherfield Park.
